I had no problem activating AVG using the code number provided. I bought this to use as a renewal. In that regard I found that it is easier to wait until the current subscription has expired on the PC, then log in with the new licence. Also remember, if you are using this to renew an existing, but expiring, licence do not activate your new licence (ie don’t put the activation code into the AVG system) too early as your new licence will start at the time your do that, not the time that you then activate your new licence on your PC.

The product is easy to use and does a good job. Not sure why anyone would complain about being auto-charged. PC cleanup tool seems to erase any stored passwords or log in credentials to things like Skype, which is a bit annoying, but maybe there’s a good reason for that. Overall, I’m happy!
